Job DescriptionLinux Engineer - Ansible - Low Latency TradingExcellent opportunity for broadly skilled Linux Engineer with a passion for Ultra Low Latency systems Trading. The successful candidate will join a small, focussed team and build out the infrastructure for an institutional grade fully UK-regulated trading venue for digital assets. RoleProvision of Exchange infrastructure, including server hardware, Linux OS and applicationsSecond-line support of exchange infrastructureProvision of monitoring, management and alerting of Exchange infrastructureProvision of support to the Exchange Operations team to assist in daily exchange operations and resolving operational issuesWorking with the Security team to implement corporate security policies to ensure our IT environments adhere to internal and industry-standard policies and practicesPropose and lead projects that improve our production environmentsCreation of technical documentationContribution to Exchange design and architecture discussions RequirementsNo more than 7-10 years administering and deploying Debian and Redhat-based Linux solutionsPractical exposure to Ansible, Puppet or similar configuration management toolsExperience with configuring and managing resilient, low-latency environments is particularly welcomeExperience with deployment and operations of virtualization platformsExposure to configuring and extending the Zabbix monitoring platform or similarFamiliarity with Firewall and VPN appliance managementDemonstratable skills with orchestration and automation tools, including Scripting languages such as Bash/Shell, Perl, and PythonExposure to Redhat IdM or similar Identity Management platforms, including practical LDAP skillsSelf-starter and independent, able to work within a team.
