Linguist (English>Hebrew)

Associate Linguists prioritize linguistic tasks for various types of documents depending on Production needs and in accordance with their subject matter expertise. Their linguistic skills are certified as part of the hiring process.Description:Understand TransPerfect’s quality standards and ensure they are upheld to meet client expectationsTake part in and pass all trainings required for Associate Linguists, including but not limited to their subject matter certification, tech tools, TPT production processes, and Quality Assurance processesEasily navigate among company resources, including but not limited to, Confluence, Launchpad, technology, etc.Perform all linguistic tasks according to project specifications, including but not limited to project instructions, reference materials, language assets (translation memory, glossary, style guide, etc.)Follow internal and client processes on all projectsWork under close supervision of the Team Lead/a more senior member of the teamAchieve quality and efficiency targets as set by manager/supervisorComplete all other tasks that are deemed appropriate for this role and assigned by the manager/supervisorRequired Skills:Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English in addition to working languagesCultural knowledge in both target and source language(s)Be flexible with changes of priorities and adaptive to a fast-paced work environment, including being open to align with Production and team needs and urgenciesFlexibility and adaptability to the different assignments and tasks using the relevant skills and tools in each case (accuracy, creativity, terminology adequacy, etc.)Ability to effectively multitask in order to simultaneously execute multiple projectsOrganizational skills, ability to prioritize, results-oriented, self-motivatedAbility to maintain professionalism and focus under pressure and tight deadlinesProblem solving/critical thinking skillsMinimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and/or translation certificateMust have successfully passed the Internal Linguistic testing in line with TransPerfect’s TLC programPrior
