Job Description:

As a Lighting Technician for Events, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of various events by providing expertise in lighting setup, operation, and maintenance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with event planners and production teams to understand lighting requirements and design concepts.
  • Rig, operate and de-rig equipment on site for events.
  • Operating lighting systems during events to ensure seamless transitions and timely execution of cues.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and providing on-the-spot solutions to maintain uninterrupted event flow.
  • Conducting routine maintenance and repairs on lighting equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
  • Adhering to strict deadlines and coordinating with other technical staff to ensure smooth integration of lighting with sound, video, and stage elements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a lighting technician in the events industry.
  • Proficiency in operating lighting control systems and familiarity with industry-standard software and hardware.
  • In-depth knowledge of various lighting techniques, fixtures, and equipment, including LED, moving heads, spotlights, and DMX protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a live event environment, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with the flexibility to adapt to changing event requirements.
  • Understanding of electrical safety practices and regulations related to event lighting installations.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
