This is a great way to develop as I can apply the theory and knowledge learned in the classroom to practical situations in Lifescan. I would highly recommend the Lifescan apprenticeship to anyone that would like a great start to an engineering career.”The apprenticeship we’re offeringEquipment Maintenance EngineeringOur Award-Winning Engineering apprenticeship programme is a 4-year Modern Apprenticeship. It was introduced by the company in 2007.As an engineering apprentice you’ll work on a variety of state-of-the-art machinery, including robotics, vision systems, advanced PLC automation and control systems, as well as the more traditional Mechanical, Pneumatic, and Electrical disciplines.What you’ll get from the apprenticeshipAs well as on the job training and personal development, this 4-year apprentice-training programme will result in the attainment of the following qualifications:A minimum of an HNC in Engineering Systems, and an SVQ level 3 in Multi Skilled Engineering.The opportunity to get further academic qualifications up to Degree Level is available to individuals on completion of the modern apprenticeship.Where do I study?You’ll study for your qualifications at UHI Inverness, which is based at Inverness Campus.Job RequirementsWhat we need from youTo gain this amazing opportunity to study while earning, then we’ll need you to be committed to working hard and pushing yourself to learn and grow.
