Life Sciences Training Specialist
Job Summary:
The Life Sciences Training Specialist plays a crucial role in the development and delivery of training programs for the CARA Life Sciences Platform. This position involves designing, implementing, and evaluating training initiatives that blend high level industry process knowledge with technical understanding of the platform.
The specialist collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure that training materials are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with both the latest developments in the platform and the changes or intricacies its intended use (business processes). Additionally, the role involves some facilitation of training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance the knowledge and skills of participants.
Responsibilities:
Development: Create comprehensive training curricula for various audiences, end-user groups, and industry partners.
Creation: Develop engaging training materials, including presentations, manuals, videos, and interactive modules, using a variety of instructional design techniques.
Work closely with subject matter experts, solution designers, and platform architects to ensure that training content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Delivery: Facilitate training sessions through various delivery methods, including in-person workshops, virtual classrooms, webinars, and self-paced e-learning modules.
Assess the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, knowledge assessments, and performance evaluations, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and outcomes to demonstrate compliance and track the effectiveness of training initiatives.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to other trainers and employees participating.
Qualifications:
Experience in instructional design, curriculum development, and training facilitation, preferably experience with the life sciences industry.
Understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and training evaluation methods.
Communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner.
In instructional design software, learning management systems (LMS), and multimedia authoring tools.
Organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
