Details of Responsibilities



Overall: A licensed Aircraft Engineer will carry out all scheduled tasks assigned to them in accordance with approved maintenance documentation, be able to demonstrate applicable technical knowledge of aircraft with the skills required to carry out the tasks as required. They we be competent in the use of aircraft maintenance documentation.



Duties of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer:




  • Carry out aircraft maintenance and certification as per the scope of the company approval.

  • Organise manpower planning, tooling, spares and create and distribute the Work Pack including relevant forms and procedures if required.

  • Customer Liaison

    • Receiving customer work orders and requests

    • Keeping the customer informed of job progress.



  • Out of hours liaison with Line Maintenance Manager – Keep Line Maintenance Manager informed of any:

    • contracted operator’s aircraft delayed for more than one hour.

    • incident involving  engineering staff or equipment.

    • damage to an aircraft.



  • To provide day-to-day liaison with customer MCC including the AOG and Operational Maintenance Planning activities.

    • Participation in the customers’ morning conference call





General Licensed Aircraft Engineer:




  • Hold UK Part 66 B1 or B2 license and authorisation.

  • Hold 737NG type rating,A320, Embraer 170/ 190 to ensure the information requirements of Engineering Computer systems are met, and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Ad-hoc duties as and when required.

  • Work flexibly and develop positive working relationships with a broad range of people.

  • Comply with all relevant company and aviation health and safety rules, procedures and guidelines.  To be fully aware of the health and safety responsibilities of this role.

  • Always work in a professional manner and be a positive representative for the company.

  • Ensure a detailed shift diary is kept up to date, ensure detailed handovers are carried out both verbally and written, this may be face to face or by telephone.

  • Be able to demonstrate up-to date knowledge of applicable legislation.

  • Ability to communicate issues to management.

  • Able to work effectively in a team, as well as independently.
