To work for a prestigious legal organisation in Central London and ensure the smooth running of Library services and maintain and develop a programme of legal research training.

While face-to-face services are key to this role, the department takes a flexible approach and some hybrid working is also possible.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Manage library services, facilities, usage and supervise a small well-established team.
Design and present practical legal research training and expand the range of training offered and develop other staff as trainers.
Promote Library Services and co-ordinate all Library communications, including via the website and social media channels
Assist in the provision of professional research and enquiry services and staff the enquiry desk on a rota basis
Oversee the distribution of current awareness material by the department.
Contribute to events such as Introductory Evenings, presentations and Library tours.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Experience of working in a law firm and with a confident, proactive personality
Practical experience of designing and delivering legal research training.
Experience of managing or supervising staff
A university degree and a qualification in library or information studies.
A detailed knowledge of hardcopy and online legal information resources.
Confident public speaker, excellent written skills and the ability to converse with a range of people at all levels.
Excellent IT skills, preferably including Excel, PowerPoint, web-based technologies, library management systems.
