Job Title: Level 2 Teaching Assistants



Location: Oldbury, West Midlands



We are currently seeking to appoint five dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join our dynamic team at a primary school in Oldbury. As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the teaching and learning process across all year groups, catering to the diverse needs of our students.



Responsibilities:




  • Assist class teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons across various subjects and year groups.

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, particularly those with lower ability or additional needs, to ensure they reach their full potential.

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to succeed.

  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other members of staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies for students with special educational needs.

  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.



Requirements:




  • Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.

  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting, with a proven track record of supporting students across different year groups.

  • Ability to effectively engage and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/carers.

  • Understanding of the diverse needs of students, particularly those with lower ability or additional needs, and the ability to adapt support strategies accordingly.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to supporting the wider school community.



Desirable:




  • Experience working with students with special educational needs, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, or speech and language difficulties.

  • Additional relevant qualifications or training in areas such as behavior management, phonics, or specific learning difficulties.
