Full-Time Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Childwall, Liverpool

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable primary school located in Childwall, Liverpool. This rewarding role involves working closely with students to enhance their learning experience and provide essential support throughout their educational journey.

Role Overview:

  • Position: Full-Time Level 2 Teaching Assistant
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Location: Childwall, Liverpool
  • Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
  • Morning Assignment: Supporting a Year 1 pupil
  • Afternoon Assignment: Assisting a Year 4 pupil

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to assigned students, assisting them with classwork and ensuring comprehension of lesson material.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in preparing educational resources and materials tailored to students' needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to academic growth and personal development.
  • Monitor student progress and behaviour, offering encouragement and reinforcement as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement effective teaching strategies and interventions.
  • Support students during transition periods and extracurricular activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably within a primary school environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake a new one.
