This fantastic Primary School based in Coseley is looking for a Reception Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join them in September. Receiving a 'GOOD' in their last Ofsted report, this school is a stimulating and rewarding learning environment for all students and staff. Previous supply staff through Hays to the school have commented on how welcoming and inclusive the environment is. Your new role
You will be working Monday-Friday from 8.30am-3:30pm. Your Teaching Assistant duties will be supporting lower-ability children in class and taking them out for reading, spelling, and phonic intervention.
You will be monitoring and recording children's learning and giving feedback to the teacher on their progress and giving 1:1 support. Strong communication skills, patience, resilience and a dedication to student academic progress are essential for success in this role. What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualifications.
You should have experience within a classroom setting in the last 2 years.
Must have experience working with children with SEN.
Good knowledge of phonics, ideally RWI trained.
You will be required to have experience supporting a child on a 1: 1 basis.
