Main Duties

Act as a representative of carrying out work as detailed by the Risk Assessment Manager/Supervisor.

Conduct yourself in a professional manner in support of our customers and work colleagues.

Ensure all works are delivered on time and to the agreed specification.

Support business growth and retain existing customers.

Complete reports and paperwork as instructed by the Risk Assessment Manager/Supervisor.

Take responsibility for your own training needs and bring them to the attention of the Risk Assessment Manager/Supervisor.

Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, specific company requirements approved by the Health and Safety Executive and the latest regulations and codes of good practice.

Undertake legionella risk assessments to a high standard in line with the latest version of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition) and its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274 and the British standard code of practice for Risk assessing BS8580-1 2019. Also, the Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises.

Carrying out legionella risk assessments manually and electronically.

Provide technical support where required.

Ensure that Legionella Risk Assessments paperwork and reports are completed correctly and returned within agreed timescales.

Where required, attend risk assessment review meetings with Clients.

You may be required, from time to time, to carry out other operational work to ensure that contractual commitments are met.

What we are looking for

Experience in Legionella risk assessing.

City and Guilds Risk Assessment course (or equivalent).

Wide Knowledge of the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8 (Fourth edition) and its associated technical guidance documents of HSG274.

Wide knowledge of the British standard code of practice for risk assessing, BS8580-1 2019.

Knowledge of the Health Technical Memorandum 04-01: Safe Water in Healthcare Premises would be beneficial but not essential initially.

Suitable and sufficient experience working within the water treatment industry.

Health and safety management.

Commercial awareness.

Planning skills.

Customer care/relationship building skills.

Presentation skills.

Computer/PDA skills, in particular with word and excel.

Drawing of schematic diagrams.

A "can do" attitude.

Be prepared to travel outside of own region as business needs dictates.

Able to work as a member of a team.

Able to work without direct supervision.

Physically able to complete required duties.

Full driving licence with no more than 6 points current or impending.

Able to deal directly with customers and represent the company in a professional manner.
