Legal Project ManagerIn December 2023 Joe Cohen joined the firm to lead the legal innovation strategy and deployment and we are delighted to now be forming our new Advanced Client Solutions (ACS) team. The team will be working with lawyers and business services in all areas to turn Charles Russell Speechlys into one of the most demonstrably forward-thinking law firms in the city by the end of 2025.Once at capacity, the function will be 18 people and will be made up of the following teams.Legal Project ManagementProcess ImprovementAlternative DeliveryLegal TechnologyProduct DevelopmentThe Legal Project Manager will report into the Head of LPM.They will be aligned to one of our four internal business divisions: Business Advisory & Transactional Services; Construction, Real Estate & Disputes; Private Client; and, Litigation & Dispute Resolution.Roles and ResponsibilitiesManage the planning, execution, and closure of select legal matters in the assigned practice group, ensuring they are completed on time, efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards;Work closely with legal teams and clients to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring clear communication and alignment with client expectations;Utilise matter management software and tools to track matter progress, manage risks, and report on milestones, adapting to the latest technologies embraced by the UK legal sector;Coordinate resources and schedules, ensuring optimal allocation of personnel and materials, and addressing any logistical challenges specific to the UK legal environment;Implement risk management strategies to identify potential project pitfalls, developing contingency plans to mitigate risks;Contribute to the development of project management best practices, sharing insights and learning from each project to improve team efficiency and effectiveness;Manage client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring transparent communication and addressing any issues promptly to maintain high levels of client satisfaction;Collaborate with the Head of Legal Project Management and other senior figures to support the firm's strategic objectives and drive innovation in project delivery;Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations including the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Standards and Regulations, and Principles.Person SpecificationProven experience of legal project management in a law firm setting;An LPM specific, or PMQ qualification is essential;Strong communication and influencing skills and experience of working with senior stakeholders across an international business;Ability to collaborate effectively, professionally, and diplomatically across departments.Credible, articulate and comfortable with systems, data and analysis;Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills ;CompetenciesWorking togetherIntegrity and respectInclusivePersonal impact and growthDriving high standardsCommercial mindsetClient - centricResponsible BusinessAgenciesWe are working exclusively with one agent on this role and will not accept speculative CVs as an introduction from any other agencies.Please do not contact individual hiring managers, Partners or the Talent Acquisition team.For a detailed specification please download the job description in the documents section of this page.Clicking 'apply' will direct you to the application tracking system, hosted for us by Reach-ATS.com.
