Job DescriptionPOSITION OVERVIEWThe Legal Education and Development Coordinator will deal with legal training and development matters as part of the Legal Recruiting and Development team in order to provide an effective and efficient function for the Firm.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented and changed as necessary and dependent on team workload)Development and TrainingAttorney engagement support i.e. liaising with firmwide and local colleagues/teams on spend requests and approvals Tracking firmwide training programs and coordinating local attendance with London Knowledge Partners Monitoring London, Paris and Brussels attorney bar certificate expirations, communicating with attorneys on providing renewals and updating spreadsheetsTracking visa expiration dates, administration of required verifications and liaising with attorneys on renewalsAssisting with budget tracking and working with US team on reclassifications for London, Paris and BrusselsProcessing attorney development onboarding and leaver checklists, tracking completion status and supporting attorneys with any queries Work with US colleagues on Learning Management System (LMS) training programsSupporting England & Wales license regulatory processes for international offices i.e. bulk renewal, continuing competence, drafting required applications i.e. SRA registrationsSupport for arranging Practice Group trainings (attorneys and trainees) including booking rooms, issuing calendar invitations, updating reports Issuing compliance courses to new attorneys and tracking completionAdministration support for associate review process for European officesProviding London attorneys with reports on their training compliance (England & Wales, US, Brussels, France)Checking CLE compliance team weekly and monthly training reports and making any required adjustments on the Firm’s tracking systemUpdating weekly US reportLMS administration including and not limited to creating events, lessons, learning paths and applying training creditsBooking external courses and obtaining necessary approvals and maintaining budget spreadsheetAssisting with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives and eventsSupporting Colleagues for Life initiatives, liaising with ambassadors and US colleagues on eventsProcessing invoices and department expensesAssisting with administration of any mentoring schemeUndertake any other tasks or responsibilities that reasonably fall within the remit of this position.QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Work Experience, SkillsEducated to degree level Proven professional services experience in training and development ideally working in a law firm. An understanding of legal bar compliance is helpful Excellent customer service orientation with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with attorneys and staff at all levelsAbility to think critically and pro-actively and problem solve and a “can-do” attitudeAbility to effectively prioritise and respond to multiple service requests, often while working under tight time constraints and juggling multiple workstreamsExcellent team playerExcellent presentation skillsReliability, commitment and punctualityAbility to maintain confidentialityProfessional attire and demeanorTechnologies/SoftwareMicrosoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
