Legal Counsel

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to join our clients legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice on IPO and Brand registration matters.

You will be working with a highly successful global brand in the Skincare and Toiletries industry.

Duties:

- Provide legal advice and guidance on various brand registrations across UK, EUR, Middle East and Latin America.

- UKIPO and EUIPO office actions including drafting submissions and witness statements for oppositions and cancellations.

- Complete registration documents such as Power of attorney, certificate of Free sale, letters of authorisation, NDA's and Exclusivity agreements

- Implementation of brand protection software

- Applying for global trademarks and managing the full process with Trademark office in country.

- Ensuring infringing brands/designs are dealt with and stopped in an urgent matter.

- Work closely with internal departments to ensure formulation registration are managed together with brand registrations

-Oversee customer and supplier contracts and T&C's etc.

Skills:

- Minimum 3 years experience as a Junior Solicitor or Paralegal

- Strong IPO and Brand registration knowledge and working background is a must.

- Full knowledge and experience with various and relevant documentation from application to reviewing to completion through to ensuring infringements are managed successfully.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Attention to detail and analytical thinking

- Good time management and organisational skills
