A fantastic opportunity for an IP Lawyer to make the move in-houseA thriving organisation with a range of iconic brands in their portfolio.About Our ClientA thriving organisation who have a range of Iconic brands & products in their portfolio.Job DescriptionReporting to the General Counsel, this role will have the following responsibilities:The review and negotiation of licence agreements, sponsorship contracts and other commercial contracts for the UK and internationally.Assisting the business with new customer procurement processes when on-boarding external suppliers and customersEnsuring consumer facing materials are compliant with relevant lawsLegal know-how: helping to keep the business and the legal team up to date on relevant legislation; legal research; reporting and presenting updates within the organisation;Organisation and risk management: taking the lead in maintaining our internal contract management database; working to identify and mitigate risk within our contracts and processes;The provision of a legal advisory function to the organisationScope for involvement in IP portfolio, contentious and non-contentious mattersThe Successful ApplicantSuitable candidates for the role of Legal Counsel will have the following experience and qualifications:Qualified lawyer in the UK or other relevant jurisdiction.Excellent private practice experience, highly skilled at contract negotiation and contract draftingIn-house experience preferableSignificant post qualification experience of contract negotiation,Experience drafting and negotiating Licence AgrementsExcellent knowledge and understanding of contract / commercial Law, and legal research skillsGood knowledge and understanding of corporate law, competition law, data protection law, marketing and sponsorshipThe right to work in the UKKnowledge of US commercial law and contractual interpretation would be highly desirable.What's on OfferOn offer is a competitive base salary and benefits package together with hybrid working.
