If you are a dynamic legal professional looking to make a significant impact in the Fintech & Payment industry, we invite you to join Financial House Limited.ResponsibilitiesAs the Legal Counsel at Financial House, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring legal compliance, risk management, and supporting the strategic growth of the company. Your responsibilities will include:Work closely with Board members and provide timely and strategic legal advice to them on various legal matters impacting the business.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure legal considerations are integrated into business strategies and initiatives.Leading and managing the legal team, including overseeing their duties and responsibilities.Oversee and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, especially those outlined by the FCA, in the operation of our electronic money services and related programs.Review, and negotiate various legal agreements, including but not limited to contracts with agents, clients, and partners.Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with our operations, keeping abreast of changes in legislation and industry best practices.Review internal policies and procedures to ensure the company operates within legal and ethical guidelines.Provide support and coordination in terms of licensing to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Provide support and guidance on legal matters concerning card-issuing and acquiring.Handle legal disputes and collaborate with external legal counsel when necessary.RequirementsQualified solicitor with a minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience.Proven experience in the financial services industry, preferably in payment & electronic money or fintech.In-depth knowledge of FCA regulations related to electronic money institutions.Hands-on experience in obtaining Payment license and navigating Payment license processes.Experience in card-issuing and acquiring to navigate legal matters related to these areas.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Location: London (On-site)Job Type: Full-time
