What you’ll be doing:
Provision of corporate law advice to HQ functions
Provision of legal advice, and support, to HQ functions in relation to the preparation of BAE Systems plc’s Annual Report and Accounts, Half Year Report, and other regulatory disclosures
Provision of corporate and securities law advice to Treasury and other HQ functions in connection with equity and debt capital markets transactions
Participating in other group-level activities such as M&A, corporate development and other group corporate and financial projects as required
Working proactively with the Chief Counsel, Corporate and Securities to evolve, adapt and drive suitable legal and governance risk management policies, frameworks and activities relevant to a UK-listed plc
Proactively produce briefings and guidance on corporate and securities laws matters
Working closely with other headquarters functions and Chief Counsels in the business units to drive a culture of excellence in the group’s approach to such laws and regulations
Your skills and experiences:
UK qualified lawyer
(6 to 9 yrs.) 6+ PQE having trained and qualified at one or more leading law firms
Broad corporate law experience, including advising on corporate governance matters
Significant experience of advising on UK Listing Rules, UK Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules and UK Market Abuse Regulation
Excellent transaction management skills with strong organisation and project management skills, together with the ability to prioritise effectively

In order to give the group holding company and HQ functions the best advice on UK corporate law issues in a timely and cost-effective manner, you will be collaborating with the Chief Counsel, Corporate and Securities. This will give you a great opportunity to develop new controls and gain wider exposure as you forge strong bonds with senior management.
