Are you passionate about enhancing young peoples careers? The School of Health Education and Care are looking for lecturers who will inspire our learners to achieve their full potential during their time at West Herts College. The right candidates will plan, deliver, and assess courses at levels 1, 2, and 3, as well as have the opportunity to deliver across our new and exciting T-Level programs in both Health (supporting Adult Nursing) and Childcare (Early Years and Teaching Assistant Pathways).
The candidates will be responsible for delivering skills and knowledge to high standards. This will be achieved by preparing resources, delivering lessons, marking student work, and supporting students with their whole programme of study.
We are seeking industry specialists to teach and embed essential skills. Learners complete invaluable work experience placements as part of their study programme, which will launch them into a career in the Health or Childcare sectors with skills and experiences that align with their chosen career path.
These opportunities exist for individuals who want to work in a stimulating environment to inspire our students to achieve their best. The successful candidates will need to have the essential skills required in Health and Social Care, and or Childcare. They will ideally have experience working with young people or apprentices either in a college or an educational setting; having an inspirational and motivational approach is essential to educate and encourage learners towards a successful career.
Applicants should have a degree or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care, Childcare or both as well as relevant vocational experience. A teaching qualification would be advantageous; however, we would offer full teacher training to the successful candidates.
The successful applicant will become part of a highly motivated team who are dedicated to raising standards and improving outcomes for all learners.
The closing date for applications is Monday 10th June 2024. The successful candidate will join our team from August 2024.
