About the role
We are looking to appoint a talented and inspiring Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Law to join our growing collegiate team of Law academics and contribute to our expanding law provision. You will ideally be a specialist in one or more of the foundation law subjects who can contribute to the delivery and development of law modules across our portfolio of courses. It would be particularly desirable if the applicant had expertise in Equity and Trusts law, Public law or European law. The successful candidate will contribute to a number of these areas according to their expertise and experience and will assist with co-curricular activities, study support, research methods, dissertation supervision and coordination, undertake course administrative duties and provide pastoral tutorial support when required. You will also make contributions to enterprise, knowledge exchange, research and scholarship in relevant areas. We welcome candidates from any combination of professional, teaching and research backgrounds.
About you (requirements)
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable solid grounding in teaching Law and successful module leadership across a range of legal subjects and developing learning resources in higher education. You will have a relevant first and higher degree to inform and support your teaching. A PhD or professional qualification would also be a welcome addition. You will be committed to delivering an outstanding student experience. You will have a sound knowledge of professional standards related to law as well as experience of working with diverse student cohorts including international students. You will possess exceptional interpersonal, networking and communication skills, be a proactive self-starter with a positive attitude and a flexible, collegiate approach and who wants to work with a small team of dedicated law lecturers.
