About us
The UCL School of Management is home to UCL’s business and management research and education programmes. The School has forged a reputation for world-leading research and teaching in the areas of innovation management, the creation and growth of technology-intensive organisations, business analytics, and entrepreneurship. The research undertaken at the UCL School of Management has been rated as ‘world-leading’ and ‘internationally excellent’ in the Research Excellence Framework 2021 (REF), placing us 2nd in the UK for Business and Management. The REF is the UK’s system for assessing the quality of research in UK higher education institutions. It first took place in 2014, when UCL was ranked the numberone UK university for research strength, and 72.5% of UCL School of Management’s research output was deemed to be ‘world-leading’ and ‘internation! ally exce llent’. The REF 2021 results, released on 12 May 2022, show a significant increase in The School of Management’s scores, confirming our position as a leading UK institution producing innovative and disruptive research. This year 95% of our research outputs were deemed ‘world-leading’ and ‘internationally excellent’. The School is a member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools. Our academic staff, comprised of 73 academic and education faculty, is organised around five research groups, Strategy & Entrepreneurship, Organisations & Innovation, Operations & Technology, Marketing & Analytics, and Finance, Accounting & Economics. We offer innovative undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA, MRes & PhD and executive programmes in Management, Entrepreneurship, Business Analytics, Business Information Systems, and Finance, designed to prepare students for leadership roles in the next generation of innovation-intens! ive organ isations. The School is home to over 2,000 students, with more than 55% from outside the UK. The School’s faculty members also come from all over the world, with PhDs from Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Columbia, UCLA, Northwestern, Cornell, Duke, Cambridge, and London Business School among others. About the role
As part of its continuing expansion, University College London (UCL) seeks to appoint Lecturers in the UCL School of Management within the research group of: Organisations & Innovation. We are particularly interested in research related to creativity, innovation, and related topics. We welcome applications from candidates pursuing topics related to either macro- or micro-organizational behavior. The postholders will be expected to carry out world-leading research in the area of Organisations & Innovation, and produce publications at a world-leading standard in terms of originality, significance and rigour, in line with personal and School objectives agreed in the Staff Review and School planning processes. The starting date for this post will be September 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. Competitive salary (includes Market Supplements on top of basic salary listed above).
About you
By the date of appointment the post holder will have completed a PhD or equivalent qualification in Organizational Behavior, or a related discipline. the post holder will be capability to produce publications, or other research outputs, at an internationally significant standard in terms of originality, significance and rigour with experience of teaching or of programme and course development at different levels.
