Job DescriptionINTERNAL/EXTERNAL VACANCY Lecturer in Automotive- Body Repair and Refinishing (Ref L703)Full Time/Permanent/Altens CampusSalary: £35,170 - £43,357 per annum (Pay award pending, currently additional £3.5K per annum) We are looking to recruit a Vehicle Body Repair & Paint Refinishing professional to join our Automotive team. The successful candidate will be fully qualified in Motor Vehicle Body Repair or Paint Refinishing with an SVQ level 3 (SCQF level 6-7) or equivalent qualification in the subject area. You will have excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to engage with learners that results in motivating them to succeed. If you are a highly effective team player with relevant industry expertise, including experience of interaction with industry partners, who actively supports colleagues and have the ability to build and maintain effective teacher/learner relationships with students we want you to come and join our team. QUALIFICATIONS
Educated to SVQ Level 3 (SCQF Level 6) or equivalent in Motor Vehicle Body Repair or Paint Refinishing Assessor training qualifications* Evidence of continuous professional development
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Up to date industry experience in Motor Vehicle Body Repair or Paint Refinishing Relevant experience of training/mentoring trainees in Automotive working
Up to date industry knowledge/experience in Body Repair techniques and applications or Paint Refinishing techniques & applications.
SKILLS
Oral and written communication skills Numeracy skills Able to work on own initiative and without supervision The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Team working skills IT literacy
