Learning Support Specialist (Permanent)

Are you an experienced or aspiring SEN LSA, Special Supporter, or Mentor? Are you looking for an opportunity to specialise within Autism & Speech Language intervention? Pertemps are providing a permanent opportunity to join a very well known & Outstanding SEN School based near�Haverhill.�
As a SEN provision�holding just under 40 students, they cater for learners with a specific educational health background in Autism & Speech Language learning difficulties, as well as those with Social & Emotional dispositions. The ideal candidate will already have a familiarty of Autism, including how it expresses itself in the school environment, how behaviour can manifest itself, and how to overcome these difficulties to help them succeed as individuals, as they move into adulthood. This specialist provisions also provides an access to education for Early Years to Secondary, so experience across nursery to primary and secondary, to working with Adults would be most welcomed here.�
Class sizes are humble, with many students being supported by their own individual member of staff throughout the day. With a variety of health care professionals based on site, you will observe, learn, and be part of the theraputic intervention for a wide mix of pupils - on both a group level and 1 to 1. Maximum classroom sizes are 3 to 1.�
The ideal Pertemps Candidate would:
- Be available to start immediately or with 1 month notice prior to Easter 2024�
- Experienced amongst Autism, Challenging Behaviour, and Speech Learning Difficulties (Mutism etc)
- Have an Enhanced DBS Certificate / open to processing a new Certificate with Pertemps
- Available to attend a 1 hour relaxed visit & induction before April 2024
- Have 2 years worth of references that can be contacted
- Harbour a kind dispositon, a sense of purpose to provide value for those who have come from a range of backgrounds and family dynamics, and work hard as a member of a strong commited team.
- Be looking for a FULL TIME (typical 8:30 to 4:15) LONG TERM LEADING TO PERMANENT role within SEN Education
Joining this school on a Permanent basis after two terms will provide an access to a range of Perks & School Opportunities throughout the year, all of which is discussed following the interview process.
This position follows a Temp to Perm format, where you will work under Pertemps for approx 2 terms, followed by movement onto an annual salary up to �20,000�(paid across all holidays, 12 weeks + off every year :) ). Your agency rate will range between �93 TO �97 depending upon experience.�
