An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and proactive Learning Support Practitioner to join our growing team.
Our specialist schools cater to students aged 5-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our schools accommodate over 150 students over different sites, with a primary phase comprising 41 students, expected to grow to meet local demand.
We are looking for several Learning Support Practitioners to support our students, both in and out of the classroom, with their needs.
If you are an experienced Learning Support Practitioner or you already have experience supporting students with SEMH needs, then apply now!
Person Specification
Learning Support Practitioner
The successful candidates will ideally have experience within a range of mainstream or SEMH settings.
Have a commitment to meeting pupils' needs, supporting their social, emotional and mental health needs, sometimes with personalised programmes.
Demonstrate an understanding of the role of the teacher and their own role in relation to teachers, other support staff, and pupils.
Have a secure understanding of literacy and maths.
Demonstrate an awareness of how pupils learn and the factors that can affect their progress and how to support these.
Promote community involvement both inside and outside the school to support achievements and personal development.
