We are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join us from September 2024 across Manchester. We are working closely with numerous colleges and schools in the area who are in need of experienced support staff to help assist their students and provide a positive educational journey.�

Job Description:
We are seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to join our team for the new academic year starting in September 2024. The successful candidates will work closely with students who require additional support to enhance their learning experience. This role is vital in ensuring that all students, regardless of their needs, can access education and achieve their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities.
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum and understanding course material.
  • Support students in developing effective study habits and organizational skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians as needed.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting student engagement and motivation.
  • Assist with the physical, emotional, and social needs of students, ensuring their well-being at all times.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to student support, including maintaining accurate records and documentation.
Requirements:
  • DBS check dated within the last 3 months or registered on the update service.
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
