About us: Academics are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a dedicated team at a lovely Primary School located in Caerphilly. We specialise in finding long-term, permanent and short-term roles for Teachers and Teaching Assistants across Caerphilly. The role: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

Location: A Primary School in Caerphilly

Pay: Starting at £84 per day

The responsibilities as an integral part of our team of LSA's include:

Providing support to students in their academic and personal development
Assisting with day-to-day classroom activities under the guidance of teachers
Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
Collaborating with fellow staff members to ensure cohesion within the classroom environment
To keep up to date with the relevant policy and legislation
To communicate effectively with staff, parents and pupils.

Criteria:

Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or Teaching Assistant is desirable.
Knowledge and understanding of ALN/SEN and how to support individuals with diverse learning needs.
Strong communication skills
Passionate about supporting the development of children
