A special school in Knaresborough is seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team. The school caters for children and young people aged 3 to 16 years with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Downs Syndrome and Complex Medical Needs.

They are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join them on a Monday to Friday basis to support with some extra pupils they have joining the school. The school would be looking for candidates to start with them in September.

As a Learning Support Assistant, your roles and responsibilities will be:

• To build strong rapport with the pupils and support with behaviour management when required.
• To work alongside the class Teacher with the day-to-day routine of the class.
• To help run exciting lessons and stimulating activities which help to enhance the students learning and sensory skills.
• To support with behaviour management if required.
• To support the pupils with their needs and requirements in accordance to their care plan.
