*Role: *Learning Support Assistant - to work with students who have SEMH needs

*Details: *Monday to Friday 8.30-3.30, £75-£80 per day + Holiday Pay, supply role with a view to stay permanently, lunch provided.
*Location: Sevenoaks*
*School: talentED* are working with an independent school on the outskirts of Sevenoaks located in many acres of beautiful grounds, this is a unique and special environment for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

*Role:*
* Follow instructions from Teachers to support effectively in the classroom
* Adhere to professional practice standards and legislation, including confidentiality, safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion policies
* Support students on 1:1, adapting your approach on a case-by-case basis to engage students effectively.
* Working in small groups of children as directed by the class teacher
* Help children with learning and development
* Behaviour management
*Qualities and experience we look for:*
* Prior experience working with vulnerable children or young adults – perhaps you have worked in schools or a care background before?
* Qualifications relating to education or medical/care. This could be a manual handling certificate through to a degree in counselling. If you think it could be relevant, we are interested in speaking to you!
* Had experience with family members who have special education needs or needed special medical support.
* A passion for education and want the opportunity to make a real difference to a child’s life.
* Strong sense of building trust and relationships with children
* Pastoral and nurturing qualities
