Role: Learning Mentor

Location: Newham

Start: ASAP

Milk Education are seeking an experienced Learning Mentor to join a mainstream secondary school in Newham on a full-time basis, with the view tostart ASAP.

The successful Learning Mentor will support the progress of underachieving and vulnerable students, with a particular focus on ensuring that underachieving Pupil Premium students achieve their full potential.

Learning Mentor Main responsibilities:

* Work closely with the pastoral team to identify and support students, in particular Pupil Premium students, who are, underachieving, at risk of exclusion, have poor attendance or have Special Educational Needs.
* Work with students on a 1:1 basis to encourage them to maximise their potential
* Cover lessons if and when required
* To take responsibility for mentoring students as designated by the Head of SEN Inclusion and Pastoral Team, including students who are not on the SEND Register.
* To ensure that students receive regular support and input to promote their progress both academically and socially in the School

The school are seeking candidates to support across all core subjects including Maths, Engligh & Science.
