In a nutshell
As the Learning Consultant for Sainsbury’s Bank, you’ll be responsible for our learning and development curriculum, covering regulatory, technical, professional, and behavioural initiatives. Through the solutions the aim will be to support colleague development at all levels, driving performance and building strong colleague capability. Through working relationships with the Bank’s HR leadership team and other stakeholders, you’ll establish where learning is needed, the best solution, and then collaborate with the wider Talent & People Development team on development and deployment via various methods and forming a test and learn approach. Evaluating the impact of the learning, to ensure that the overall offer remains as simple and effective as possible.
What you need to do
As a Learning Consultant for Sainsbury's Bank, you will play a crucial role in implementing learning and development solutions to enhance colleague capability and drive performance across regulatory, technical, professional, and behavioural curriculum. Collaborating with stakeholders, including the Bank's HR leadership team, you will identify learning needs and work with the Talent & People Development team to develop and deploy effective solutions. Your responsibilities will include embedding the Bank's Regulatory Training & Competence framework, providing data analysis on capability and competence for senior leaders, managing the Bank's learning budget, and serving as the primary contact for learning interventions. Building strong relationships and working closely with subject matter experts, leadership teams, and the talent team, you will gather insights, prioritise requests, and guide content management and development. Evaluating the impact of learning solutions and applying your core consulting skills, you will ensure successful delivery while embracing change, fostering innovation, and demonstrating a pragmatic approach. Having knowledge of financial services capability and competence landscape, the Senior Manager & Certification Regime (SMCR), and the banking industry's regulatory environment would be advantageous in this role.
What you need to know and show
As a Learning Consultant Bank for Sainsbury's, you are a highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of the financial services learning space and technical qualifications, including apprenticeships. Your primary focus is to create a comprehensive learning and development plan for bank employees, ensuring the development of the necessary capabilities to deliver strategic outcomes. With your experience in managing and engaging stakeholders at senior levels, you possess the ability to facilitate and execute impactful learning initiatives. Your expertise lies in testing and experimenting with different learning solutions while robustly measuring their impact on both colleagues and the organisation. Proactive and analytical, you take initiative in analysing and reporting data, and you are responsible for effectively allocating the L & D budget to optimise learning outcomes.
