Wycombe Abbey seeks to appoint a Learning Enhancement Officer to support our Head of Learning Enhancement and SENDCo in assisting teachers linked to the department and ensuring pupils access the curriculum and wider School life.Wycombe Abbey is a world-class full-boarding school for girls. With its distinctive heritage, magnificent 170-acre campus and impressive resources, the School provides an outstanding education for 650 pupils aged 11-18. The Learning Enhancement Department works closely with academic and pastoral staff, as well as parents, to provide one-to-one lessons which take each pupil’s whole wellbeing into account. Girls also benefit from drop-in sessions where they seek advice on work from subjects across the academic spectrum.The Learning Enhancement Officer will be responsible for some departmental administration alongside their work in providing support and strategies for pupils with Special Educational Needs and pastoral needs. The successful candidate will be experienced in working with young people and have a strong working knowledge of areas relevant to SEND support.Hours of work:37.5 hours per week during Wycombe Abbey term time plus two weeks during School holidays. Salary: £19,956 - £22,950 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
