This company is a fast paced and growing food manufacturer of chilled and frozen food to go, supplying to well-known customers across multiple sales channels including tourism, healthcare and education and retail.



This role will be reporting to the Senior HR Manager, the Learning and Development Manager is responsible for leading, developing and implementing learning and development strategies and programs, designing and delivering both face to face and digital/virtual learning, career plans, workshops and more across all of the company sites. Ability to use analytics, problem solve and advise on appropriate learning solutions to meet organisational and individual needs is key.



The Role:



The Learning and Development Manager will be expected to deliver this though effective leadership, ensuring legal requirements, policies, standards, procedures are interpreted, communicated, documented and systems exist to ensure the Company is compliant with all current legislation and objectives.




  • Line management responsibility for the Operational Trainers

  • Responsibility for managing the training budgets across the business

  • Ensure full and robust training matrices are in place and regularly reviewed that capture all areas of the business

  • Ensure all OJT is completed and evaluated

  • Develop and implement comprehensive learning strategies, programs, and initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs and design effective learning solutions

  • Utilize various learning methodologies, including e-learning, classroom training, workshops, and on-the-job training

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to employees to support their professional development

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback surveys

  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in learning and development

  • Continuing to develop our approach to agile training.



Skills:




  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent qualification

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering effective learning programs

  • Strong knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and HRIS platforms

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
