Main Purpose of Job:
As the Learning & Development Manager - Admin and Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering a culture of safety, and facilitating seamless employee onboarding experiences. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you'll drive initiatives to maximize funding opportunities, streamline processes, and enhance training effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
1. CITB Grants and Funding Utilization:
Oversee CITB grant applications and funding utilization, ensuring full compliance and documentation for audits.
Foster collaboration between UK entities to optimize grant payments and facilitate timely recharges.
Proactively engage with CITB representatives to explore funding opportunities aligned with business objectives.
2. H&S Matrix Compliance:
Partner with the Head of H&S to ensure strict adherence to the latest approved version of the L&D Matrix.
Maximize staff compliance with H&S requirements through continuous review and enhancement of training processes.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination among UK entities to elevate safety standards across the organization.
3. Employee Onboarding Experience:
Own the induction and onboarding process, collaborating with HR and production teams to deliver engaging and comprehensive programs.
Solicit feedback and analyse data to continuously improve the onboarding experience and enhance employee retention.
Tailor induction programs to accommodate diverse needs across all UK entities, leveraging automated platforms for efficiency.
4. Budget Management and Reporting:
Support the Head of L&D in tracking team expenditures against planned budgets and processing financial transactions.
Establish robust record-keeping practices and produce quarterly reports to monitor spending and allocation.
Drive innovation and process improvement initiatives to optimize cost tracking and reporting efficiency.
5. Training Records Management and Audits:
Maintain organised training records and ensure compliance with GDPR requirements and company policies.
Champion the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and emerging AI tools to streamline data management and reporting.
Assist in audit preparations by gathering evidence and facilitating smooth audit processes.
6. Line Manager Responsibilities:
Fulfill line management duties, including conducting annual appraisals, performance tracking, and providing support and development opportunities to team members.
Cultivate a positive team environment through regular communication, team meetings, and engagement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in learning and development, compliance management, and budget oversight.
Familiarity with construction industry regulations and CITB grant processes preferred.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decision-making.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team management and development.
