About The Role
As one of the Trust’s two Learning and Development Managers, you will play a vital role in designing, implementing, and managing innovative learning and development initiatives for employees across the Trust. You will lead on developing our approach to management and leadership skills development to promote holistic skillsets across the organisation. You will also work collaboratively with the Social Work Academy to create a supportive and inclusive learning culture that enhances employee skills, knowledge, and engagement. You will play a pivotal role in promoting proactive career development opportunities whilst encouraging best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively across the People and Talent Team to develop and implement a Learning and Development Strategy aligned with organisations goals and aspirations.
- You will design, deliver, and evaluate a range of learning interventions across the organisation, including the delivery of e- learning, coaching, and mentoring.
- Working closely with the Social Work academy to roll out key joint learning priorities and values are golden threaded in all key learning interventions.
- Oversees administration of key learning programs, including scheduling, logistics and participant registration.
- Provide guidance and support to line managers in identifying and addressing performance gaps through coaching and development plans and equip them to undertake core management activities and monitors effectiveness of interventions deployed through feedback, surveys, and performance metrics.
- Manage and oversee the organisations apprenticeship levy, maximising resource to full effect and ensuring the programmes are inclusive, particularly in relation to pre-employment programmes for care leavers.
About You
- Proven track record of delivering in a learning and development management or similar role.
- Extensive knowledge of Learning and Development policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ability to carry out capability and skills assessments, identifying gaps and creating solutions and a comprehensive offer to meet needs.
- Experience of improving engagement in learning and development and Continuous Professional Development activity.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Prove track record of designing and delivering content, using various mediums.
- Ability to evaluate training provision, assessing the impact on both service delivery and individual development.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
