The role overview
Join a small, fun and welcoming Human Resources team within the SAP Technology & Software industry — a sector known for its stability and for providing a world of career growth opportunities.
Working closely with the Talent Manager and wider HR Team, the primary purpose of the Learning and Development Coordinator role is to support The Config Team Learning and Development (L&D) strategy by assisting in the coordination, management, design and implementation of various initiatives aimed at enhancing colleague skills, competencies, and career development.
The role serves as a key facilitator in ensuring that colleagues have access to relevant training, resources and development opportunities to support individual growth and organisational goals.
By collaborating with internal stakeholders, external partners, and subject matter experts, the Learning and Development Coordinator will contribute to creating a culture of continuous and structured learning, innovation and talent development.
Overview of duties and responsibilities
Develop a good understanding of the organisational goals of The Config Team and internal training needs to assist with the coordination, facilitation and management of effective training and development programmes across the business.
Be a key point of contact for Learning and Development queries and to manage and improve L&D process.
Assist with the completion of training needs and skills gap analysis, driving appropriate initiatives which are suitable to address any needs and gaps.
Assist in the coordination, development and implementation of competency frameworks to identify and assess key skills and competencies required for various roles.
Support the coordination, facilitation and management of succession planning initiatives.
Assist with the coordination, management and maintenance of the skills matrix to track colleague skills, certifications and training requirements in line with individual and business goals and objectives.
Assist with the coordination of activities related to the Associate Academy, including curriculum development, scheduling, participant engagement and continuous improvements.
Assist in the performance development and review (PDR) process to ensure the process supports L&D initiatives for colleague development, supporting colleagues and managers to arrange and coordinate identified training needs.
Coordinate the development and management of internal and external training programs, workshops and learning events.
Assist and contribute to manager meetings on how the L&D function can support L&D needs.
Assist with the Investors In People Accreditation and other HR related accreditations processes to ensure the desired level of accreditation is achieved.
Develop and maintain partnerships with external training providers, educational institutions, and industry associations to expand learning opportunities for colleagues and drive innovation for the L&D function.
Support the development and implementation of internal and external communication plans and stakeholder partnerships to promote L&D initiatives, events, and resources effectively.
Assist with the Study Support Application process to coordinate, facilitate and manage the requests effectively and within expected time scales.
Support the partnership with SAP and assist with the organisation, coordination and management of SAP Learning Hub Licences and other SAP Training materials.
Assist with the monitoring, collecting, analyzing and reporting of key metrics and measures to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of L&D programs and initiatives.
Assist team members to collaborate with HR and management to support colleague career planning, growth, and development opportunities.
Develop and maintain a current understanding of training and development processes, including trends in people development, related technology learning tools (including LMS) and understanding of external resources available to support The Config Team people strategy.
Required Skills, Experience and Knowledge
Essential
A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a learning and development role or related field.
Demonstrable interest in Learning and Development and passion for personal and colleague growth.
Professional communication style and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior colleagues.
Proactive in approach, comfortable to use own initiative to drive and effectively manage activity.
Excellent verbal and written English skills with the ability to understand and explain technical terms using simple, understandable language.
Desirable
A good understanding of competency frameworks, succession planning, and talent management processes.
Has successfully been through and contributed to an IIP standards process or similar to achieve business accreditation.
Proficient in using Microsoft SharePoint as a learning management system (LMS).
Worked in an SAP, ERP or similar business consulting environment.
