This post will lead on the strategic development of an integrated Health and Work Strategy for Birmingham and Solihull and support development of a partnership to implement the strategy. The post holder will work with partners across the health and employment and skills systems to ensure better join up of employment and health support. Main duties of the job Development of an ICS strategy for Health and Work integration and development of a partnership approach to support delivery and implementation of the strategy.
Building extensive knowledge of national strategy and policy direction as it relates to work and health integration and commissioning and disseminating this knowledge throughout the ICS to positively impact join up of employment and health support.
Work with health and care partners on the design and delivery of pilots within the ICS that support delivery of the joint forward plan. This will require complex analysis and insight considering public health management, localised priorities and exploring new population needs.
Specifically the post holder will lead the development and delivery of a work well service following the recent announcement that Birmingham & Solihull will be one of 15 vanguards selected by the joint unit of the Department for Work & Pensions and the Department for Health & Social Care.
