We enjoy problem-solving and most importantly, we LOVE making games!Take a look at our games: iOS Store + Google PlayRole OverviewAs the Lead Technical Artist, you will manage and guide a skilled team, overlooking the technical art for one of our leading games Triple Tile. For this role, effective managerial skills and strategic planning are crucial for meeting project goals and enhancing individual growth within the team.This position requires a strong technical background, collaboration across various departments, and team mentoring to ensure optimal game performance and excellent visuals.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical:Design and implement the ‘Unity layer’ linking art and animation with the programmers’ codebaseConstruct new game features within Unity, including Unity UI, following internal technical workflowWrite custom C# components for complex visual elementsOptimise new and existing featuresCreate animations, particle effects, and custom shadersManagerial:Lead and mentor a team of 3 experienced Technical ArtistsTake a proactive role in product development according to company goalsCommunicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsContribute to task planning and estimation with other LeadsRequired Skills, Knowledge & ExpertiseTechnical:Expertise in the Unity engine, especially Unity UIExperience with different architectural approaches to game developmentAbility to write clean, performant C# codeExperience working with Git and knowledge of its best practicesAbility to create animations, particle effects and custom shadersExperience optimising games for smooth performance on various devicesManagerial:Proven experience in leading a team, with the ability to mentor and guide team membersExperience in strategic planning and accurate tasks estimation, aligning with project timelines and company objectivesDrive to proactively optimise technical art workflows to enhance team efficiency and performanceWorking at Tripledot25 days holiday in addition to bank holidaysHybrid Working: we work in the office 3 days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and a third day of your choice.20 days fully remote workingRegular company events and rewards (recent highlights: Thames River Cruise, London Dungeon and Summer Parties in Regents Park)Continuous Professional DevelopmentPrivate Medical CoverLife Assurance & Critical Illness CoverHealth Cash PlanDental CoverFamily Forming SupportEmployee Assistance ProgramCycle to Work SchemePension Plan
