Lead Systems Engineer (Military Systems) 6 month contract £525 per day Outside IR35 ASAP start Active SC clearance needed Hybrid work arrangement possible after a period, potentially 4 weeks. WappenhamYou will play a crucial role supporting the client through a range of statements of work during an aggressive period of development. These statements of work will be focused on New Product Introduction for their C-UAS (Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems) products.You will be joining a small dynamic team continually designing and developing world class products. As a Contract Lead Systems Engineer you will be expected to guide the development of our C-UAS roadmap, delivering results to specification, on time and in budget.Requirements:• Experience in defence systems preferred but not necessarily C-UAS• Strong background in real systems engineering, preferably from a defence company• Ability to hit the ground running and not be phased by military systems• Will lead from a project perspective• Responsible for drawing up requirements for external suppliers and resources (external consultancies/designers)• Requires matrix management for both internal and external resourcesRequired Experience:• A minimum of 5 years experience in an equivalent role• A strong understanding of systems engineering methods, toolsets and processes• Experience in delivering at a large company. • Experience of working across the full engineering development lifecycle• Demonstrated ability to successfully achieve assigned tasks in complex systems engineering.•Skills in analysis, critical thinking and technical problem solving
