Lead Software Engineer, London, £100,000 - £110,000 + Package
A Lead Software Engineer / Technical Lead is needed to join a start-up Tech for Good company based from their London office. This is a exciting opportunity to lead and own the full (ground-up) development and architecture of their disruptive platform. You will build and lead a team of purpose-led engineers in creating consumer-facing applications that will have a significant (and positive) impact on people’s lives.

Key responsibilities of the Lead Engineer / Tech Lead:
Build, design, and implement consumer products, aligned to customer needs (scoping out new requirements).
Leading from the front – recruit, build and manage a team of full stack software engineers (whilst keeping hands-on in development & architecture).
Ensure the stability, scalability, and maintainability of core products.
Take charge of the end-to-end development process, constantly refining and adhering to industry best practices.
Future-proofing and evolving the overall tech-stack roadmap.
Experience & background needed:
A proven track record of leading full-stack engineering teams, ideally within a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
Working with tech partners and the transition of software development to in-house teams.
Nurturing the development & architecture of a core platform – hands-on experience of frontend JavaScript (React.js and/or Next.js) and Mobile Development with React Native.
Good understanding of backend Technologies & Languages – C#.NET, Java, Golang.
A product-centric mindset, solving user and business problems with data-driven precision.
Good understanding of Cloud platforms – Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
