This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Lead Software Engineer with a Tech Scale-up in London. My client is seeking looking for a proven Software Engineering Lead who has a proven track record of being part of a growing tech company and understands the needed hands-on approach within a small business and also wants to have a positive impact on others - which is exactly what my clients platform is designed for!
The new Lead Software Engineer will play a pivotal role in empowering users to connect, share, and find support in their mental health journey. This is a full stack role and experience of frontend techs like Reactjs is important as well as others such as Nextjs. A range of backend experience - .NET, GoLang, Java is fine providing you are adaptable and versatile!
Lead Software Engineer responsibilities:
Leading the full development and architecture of consumer-facing applications, ensuring alignment with customer needs.
Recruiting, building, and managing a team of purpose-led engineers while remaining hands-on in development and architecture.
Ensuring stability, scalability, and maintainability of core products, adhering to industry best practices.
Driving the end-to-end development process and refining the tech-stack roadmap for future-proofing and evolution.
Experienced required:
Proven (hands-on) leadership experience in full-stack engineering, preferably within a dynamic startup or scale-up environment, working for a tech company who have experienced success & growth.
Experience in transitioning software development from external to in-house teams and working with third parties.
Proficiency in frontend technologies such as React.js & Next.js.
Strong understanding of backend technologies like C#.NET, Java, Golang.
Product-centric mindset, solving user and business problems with data-driven precision.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.
