Lead Software Engineer

Job DescriptionTips: Provide a summary of the role, what success in the position looks like, and how this role fits into the organization overall.Responsibilities·Understand technical and user requirements of iFAST products·Create and document software for iFAST’s current and future product pipeline·Follow all relevant medical device standards in the creation and documentation of software (notably ISO13485, ISO62304 and ISO14971)·Write efficient, logical, and well commented and documented code·Perform the verification and validation of the code, including module, sub-system and system level testing·Potentially, manage the software development team·Create software to collect and process test data and for other purposes·Keep the software aspects of the Quality Management System documentation up to date (Design Inputs / Design Outputs)·Work with the Engineering team to successfully interface any software with our hardware, for example the UI codeQualifications(Essential = E; Preferred = P)(E) Good degree in engineering, computer science or similar subject(E) >5 years of experience creating software for life science applications(E) >5 years of experience in writing, debugging and verifying code in MATLAB(E) >5 years of experience in writing, debugging and verifying code in either C/C++ or Python(P) Experience of writing embedded code(E) >5 years of writing software that complies with medical device regulations and relevant standards(P) Experience managing a team of people(E) Experience in setting up and maintaining a Quality Management System for software(E) Experience risk assessing software(P) Experience of creating systems and control algorithms(P) Experience of designing software that interacts with electromechanical and/or fluid systems and hardware and be able to resolve problems at the interface of these systems
