We are seeking a number of Model Based Systems Safety Engineers to join their team on a permanent or contract basis. You will work on a hybrid working pattern with the head office based in the Bedfordshire area, where site presence is required 3 days per week.

The Role:Safety Systems Engineer is a role supporting integration between the Safety Engineering and Systems Engineering processes using MBSE.Key responsibilities include:
Working work with other Functional Safety Engineers to create globally common safety ratings, processes, methods, tools, training, and help to accelerate global adoption of SysML based Functional Safety analysisDevelopment and execution of safety plans in accordance with the safety requirementsSafety analysis of designs for product and systemsSafety review of design artefacts and documents through model centric approach
The PersonThe Safety Systems Engineer will specialise in the delivery of model based systems engineering using SysML modelling to develop the acceptable risk criteria definition covering hazard identification and hazard analysis through appropriate techniques, such as HAZOPS, SWIFT, Fault and event tree analysis.Experience Required for the Safety Systems Engineer role:
Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maths or Physics.Strong programming knowledge and experience in C/C++ using Visual StudioPro-active with the ability to think creatively.Previous experience of Model Based Systems Engineering in a relevant industry such as aerospace or defence.Either hold current SC or be eligible to gain security clearance (5yrs UK residence).
