Job Description
Lead Clinical/Counselling/Forensic Psychologist
Are you a Clinical, Counselling or Forensic Psychologist looking for a leadership role where you can manage your own service and develop the psychological programme?
You can join the team at Sturt House in Walton on the Hill which is part of an extensive South region Psychology service, ideally working full time hours with flexible arrangements available (part time hours also considered), at the equivalent of an 8b NHS role.
The role is embedded in an established and highly regarded regional psychology network within Elysium Healthcare, where you will be well placed to make meaningful change, have positive impact and grow your professional reputation.
You will be/have:
A qualified Counselling, Clinical or Forensic Psychologist
HCPC registration
Chartered (or charterable) status with the British Psychological Society
Two or more years’ post-qualifying experience as a psychologist
On the BPS’s register for supervisors (RAPPS)
You will be confident in risk assessment, therapeutic approaches with mental health clients and have an interest in CBT, DBT or compassion focussed therapy.
About the role:
This is an exciting time in the South Regional Psychology Services, with an expansion in networking opportunities, professional development and robust access to CPD.
The psychology service at Sturt is developing, with opportunities to shape the service in an area of professional interest. You will be working across the service and part of an inclusive and supportive team of other Psychologists, Trainee Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists and therapy staff across the region. Interests and experiences in the region include DBT, CFT, CBT, arson, trauma, EMDR, sexual and violent offending and risk management.
As a Lead Psychologist, you will support the design and implementation of treatment directions to meet the needs of the population. The male service users are engaged in active rehabilitation and progression back into the community.
