Maintenance Shift Engineer (Days/Nights)
Dagenham

We are working alongside a market leader in the waste/ Anaerobic Digestion sector to offer the position of Maintenance Engineer in East London.

Package:
* Hours - 48 per week 4on-4off
* Pay - Attractive package.
* 17 cover shifts per year with additional pay.
* Holiday Allowance - 14 days which will increase with length of service.

Responsibilities may include:
* Assessing risks before commencing work.
* Performing planned preventative maintenance and lubrication on plant assets such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves.
* Completing reactive tasks based on defect lists, taking readings from on-site meters, and filling out relevant check sheets.
* Assisting with contractor and third-party asset services and maintaining general cleanliness.
* Recording all necessary logs and job sheets.
* Actively participating in projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and modern manufacturing practices.
* Adhering to all Site and Group Health and Safety Regulations, attending on- and off-site Health and Safety, Fire, and Welfare Training.
* Installing and maintaining equipment to minimize disruptions to production.

Requirements:
* Completion of a recognized apprenticeship.
* Minimum CGLI or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* Previous engineering experience (preferably in the AD industry).
* Familiarity with working with and implementing isolations and isolation systems (LOTO, Mechanical, and Electrical).
* Dual skilled in mechanical and electrical work (preferred but not essential).
* Experience with Centrifugal, Lobe, Diaphragm, and screw pumps.
* Ability to replace shaft seals and bearings, and work with pipework, fittings, and couplings.
* Confidence in valve replacements and basic pneumatics.
* Comfortable working at heights.
* Basic IT skills.
* Flexible approach to working hours.
* Analytical problem-solving skills.
* Effective and professional communication at all levels.
* Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.
