The role is for an Assembly Coordinator/Lead to join our established Team. This is a new role for PCMC and the successful candidate will be expected to both coordinate/lead assembly builds and be heavily involved in the build process to ensure timely and successful completion – the role is mechanically biased. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate and manage daily and on-going assembly activities.Work from complex assembly drawings, specifications and instructions to plan work in proper sequencesAssemble complex sections of machine of various combinations thereof as indicated by customer specificationsLead, guide, coach or mentor less experienced team membersReview and prioritize shortages and report quality issues; communicate concerns and make recommendations for corrective actionsCollaborate with engineering on design/process opportunities based upon manufacturing needsDevelop assembly standards and processes based on improvement opportunities or quality/cost concernsAssist in unload incoming trucks as directedEnsuring parts meet quality requirements - detect defective materials, unusual conditions or operating difficulties and report to wider team describing in accurate detail to ensure proper corrective actionsOperate materials handling equipment such as forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or organize storageActively participate in team meetings to communicate and help resolve any cost, quality, or production issuesRegularly and effectively communicate and interact with other team membersMaintain equipment and work area in clean and orderly fashionPerform all work in accordance with established safety proceduresBe prepared to undertake other tasks within the business if required JOB REQUIREMENTS Excellent interpersonal, communication and time managementDemonstrate the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workloadAbility to cope with varied responsibilities and work as an individual or as part of a teamA drive and determination to succeed.Be self-sufficient and adaptable.
