Lead Maintenance Technician
Role Context:
Worley are looking to engage a highly motivated individual to join the Site Team based on a Project within the UK
Join us as an E&I Maintenance Lead Technician where you will support the supervision of all aspects of the electrical scheduled maintenance and construction activities with the electrical technicians on site.This will mean the regular communication with stores, procurement, service providers and spares suppliers.Ensuring maintenance compliance using the INFOR system to keep maintenance and repairs correctly recorded with the INFOR system.
You'll be:
•Shift work covering days and nights on a 7/3/7/4 rotation
•Supervising and coordinating the day to day scheduled maintenance and construction activities for the equipment used within the shaft sinking activities.
•Close liaison with the Lead maintenance planner and the Electrical superintendent with all aspects of scheduled maintenance and construction activities.
•Ensuring all Work orders are completed within INFOR and any follow up repairs and spares orders are recorded in INFOR.
•Co-ordination of any remedial repairs with equipment hiring companies, repair companies and shaft sinking equipment suppliers, whenever requested by anyone in the construction teams, this will mean that overtime could be worked when required.
•Recording defects on equipment within the INFOR system, for history purposes and status on defects outstanding/completed
•Co-ordinate site inductions, access permitting for all field technicians visiting the site to carry out planned maintenance & repairs.
•Liaising with stores and logistics teams with regards to equipment & spares arriving on site and removal of equipment off site.
•Close liaison with the shaft superintendent and the electrical and instrumentation technicians during the shift.
•Carrying out regular site visits down into the shaft sinking area, concentrating on supporting all maintenance activities planned for the day.
•Continuously reviewing stores support and spares availability for up and coming maintenance and repairs, this will include communications with procurement & stores teams.
You'll have:

NVQ Level 3 Engineering Maintenance or equivalent Electrical Trade Qualification

Previous supervisory experience

Significant
experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities planned and unplanned

Experience working at the sharp end to very tight project timelines

Knowledge of defect reporting systems

Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures and documentation

Ability to understand drawings and diagrams

Strong communication, networking, collaboration and well-developed team-working skills, especially in multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams

Have an ‘Incident Free’ mind-set, and be a role model for the project team and contractors alike

Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills, being able to work with the various sub-teams to resolve issues and reach decisions that are in the best interests of the integrated project team

Demonstrate a logical systematic approach to work, show initiative, demonstrate resilience, and accept accountability

Display a positive ethical behaviour

A full UK driving license is required for this role
•Knowledge of Electricity at Work regulations 1989 and relevant legislation pertaining to work undertaken.
•Experience in PLC’s advantageous
•A good understanding of process engineering specifically water treatment plants, oil purification and gas generators
•Experience in installation, operation, testing and maintenance of electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, PLC’s and VFD’s)
•Evidence of Safe Isolation of electrical systems within the scope of your appointment and voltage restriction
•Experience operating Switchgear, associated infrastructure and control systems
