Lead Maintenance Engineer

Our client are a UK wide food producer who make some of the most famous brands you'll find in our homes.

Great opportunity for a Lead Maintenance Engineer who will be a senior contact for the engineering team while working on shift.

Working at their production site in Belfast, you'll play a key role in driving continuous improvement along with preventative and reactive maintenance across the plant.

This role would suit an experienced Maintenance Engineer who has gained some Senior/ Lead experience in the daily running, planning and organising of a maintenance team.

Shift patterns consists of 2 weeks days and 2 weeks nights, 7am - 7pm, salary in �46 - 50k range and generous pension scheme matching up to 10% contributions.

The Role

• Preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment
• Fault finding and repairs across electrical & mechanical systems
• Involved in projects and continuous improvement of machinery and equipment to reduce downtime
• Lead role in daily planning, handovers and priority of resource allocation
• Support, coach and mentor team members
• Manage contractors on site to ensure standards are met
• Work in line with good health & safety practice
• Work to drive the overall Engineering function and performance

What we are looking for

• Level 3 or HNC qualified in Electrical/ Engineering discipline
• Proven maintenance experience in Manufacturing / FMCG production
• Excellent knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic
• Experience with automated equipment and PLC's
• Experience working in a Senior/ Lead maintenance role over a small team
• Highly organised and can communicate with a wide range of people and departments
• Can lead a team in a fast paced setting
