They are a diverse team which has won numerous awards for its company culture and place to work.As Lead Lighting Artist will use your understanding of lighting and composition to elevate the work of your team members, enhancing and supporting their work. You’ll set the standard, workflows, provide visual benchmarks and mentor. Working closely with the Art Director and other Art Leads you’ll help ensure the maps are fun to play and look visually stunning!REQUIREMENTS:Experience in Games or Film generating final lighting / renderingWorked as a Lead Artist on one shipped AAA titleHave been a Senior / Lead Artist in building a lighting pipeline in Unreal EngineExcellent understanding of Physically Based Rendering and HDR pipelinesMastery over the baked and dynamic lighting solutions in UnrealKnowledge of Unreal Engine lighting toolsA solid artistic foundation in the application of tone, colour and compositionAn understanding of cinematography lighting fundamentalsAwareness of the emotional storytelling that lighting brings to a sceneExperience developing quality lighting under runtime constraintsRESPONSIBILITIES:Translate the Art Director’s vision into achievable scene lighting for both gameplay and cinematicsBuild a lighting pipeline within Unreal Engine working with Technical Art and Engineering teamsLeading, motivating and inspiring a team of Artists while helping them to maintain quality, efficiency and consistency through feedback and mentoringEstablishing team processes and best practicesCoordination and collaboration with the project’s Production team and with other discipline leadsMaintaining performance requirements while ensuring a high-quality bar for the gameBENEFITS INCLUDE:VISA sponsorship and relocation assistance.Performance related pay.Private Medical and Dental for you and your family.Mental Health Care Scheme.Bespoke learning and progression avenues.Bonus scheme.Interested in finding out more about the studio and project?
