Our client is a leading Health and Leisure Group with an expansive network across the UK. They now need an experienced Lead InfoSec Engineer, to create and manage the company-wide information security programme to ensure that information assets are properly protected. You will be tasked with the design and execution of policies, procedures and technology, to secure and protect the company's systems and Data. This is a hands-on role where you will lead initiatives to ensure that the company's information assets are properly protected against cyber threats.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will:
Develop and implement the company's information security strategy, policies, and procedures.
Design and execute security controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's systems and data.
Lead security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans.
Monitor and respond to security incidents and breaches, ensuring timely resolution and escalation as needed.
Conduct regular security awareness training for employees to promote a culture of security awareness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into the company's development and operational processes.
Stay updated on emerging threats and technologies to continuously improve the company's security posture.
Be responsible for Security Documentation and Monitoring and conducting Security Audits and Assessments regularly.
Create and maintain the Security Architecture for the company and maintain network security.
Ensure the continual security of the sensitive data that is held within the company.
The salary on offer for this Lead InfoSec Engineer Role is paying £75,000 + Benefits Package + Bonus. The firm operates a hybrid model of working with 2 days per week in the office, however, they are open to a more remote-friendly basis of 1 day per month as well.
Essential Requirements:
Minimum of 5 Years' experience in an Information Security Position in a UK-wide or international digital business.
Strong expertise with implementing security solutions and tools for cloud-native distributed systems, ideally Azure and Kubernetes.
Comprehensive knowledge of Information Security Management Systems and Tools.
Ability to deal with highly complex and high-risk problem areas across the diverse range of IT Security threats.
Strong understanding of key aspects of data security including encryption methods, access management, data warehouse/data lake security etc.
Experience with tools like PowerBI, Nessus, CrowdStrike and Sentinel or similar.
Experience in leading internal security audits and developing and embedding comprehensive infosec strategies across the business.
Experience managing cyber incident response processes and working with specialist partners.
Experience with SQL-based data warehouse solutions.
Understanding of network-level security principles and practices.
Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS.
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security or CEH are a plus.
Experience with multi-site business operations is a plus.
Experience with FreshService Service Management Platform is a plus.
