P4 Recruitment are looking for a Lead Housekeeper/Cook to work with a client in Leeds that specialises in the provision of care of those that have complex and enduring mental health issues.



Job Summary:



As a Lead Housekeeper / Cook, you will oversee housekeeping and cooking operations, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained in line with health and safety regulations. Your role will contribute to the seamless function of our service, promoting the well-being of both residents and staff.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Evaluate environmental requirements to ensure comfort and safety for residents.

  • Manage daily operations related to cleanliness, supplies, and waste removal.

  • Maintain adequate stock levels of essential goods and oversee maintenance requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with CQC regulations within housekeeping and cooking departments.

  • Coordinate kitchen production, ensuring food preparation meets agreed standards and deadlines.

  • Implement and supervise kitchen control measures, including hygiene, health, and safety.

  • Order catering supplies in accordance with company policies.

  • Conduct audits for housekeeping and kitchen areas, reporting findings to the Service Manager.

  • Collaborate with residents to develop menus and accommodate dietary needs.

  • Provide direct line management and supervision to housekeeping/cooking team.

  • Support residents in maintaining their rooms and participating in Therapeutic Earning Schemes.

  • Ensure adherence to fire and safety regulations, including evacuation procedures.



General Responsibilities:




  • Undertake delegated duties as assigned by the Service Manager.

  • Support the achievement of service objectives.

  • Participate in the annual appraisal scheme and contribute to personal development objectives.

  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.

  • Attend mandatory training sessions.

  • Encourage professional development within the team.
