I am currently looking speak with Lead Health & Safety Advisor to be involved in improvement initiatives in key areas safety, sustainability, reliability, and capital projects for our client near Cardiff.

Salary: £56,000 - £65,000 + Bonus + Pension

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor UK Health & Safety legislation and best practices
- Update Risk Register and Legal Register with action plans
- Manage relations with regulatory bodies
- Ensure compliance with Corporate Health, Safety, and Security policies
- Conduct internal audits and inspections
- Manage site risk profile and safety arrangements
- Develop and implement Behavioural safety programs
- Manage ISO 45001 Management System and SHE Self-Assessment Program
- Collaborate with Quality and Environmental Managers
- Manage Safety and Health budget
- Member of the on-call management response team.
- In-depth knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and practices
- Practical experience in Behavioural safety and culture change
- Hands-on expertise in confined space entry and risk assessment
- Proficient in safe systems of work and contractor safety
- Experienced in hazardous materials management
Background
- Bachelor/University degree in occupational safety, engineering, sciences or related field or NEBOSH Diploma
- Minimum five years relevant Health & Safety experience in a Hazardous Process Industry environment (Chemical, Steel, Oil & Gas, Pharma).
